I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2019. Following that, I worked as a software developer, building the iOS and Android app for an assistive devices startup. Since 2020, I have been independently developing educational math games for middle school students. I have also worked as a backend software engineer at Rayyan Systems, an online research platform startup. And as a Math Content Developer at an EdTech startup, Synthesis. Additionally, I have taken on various freelance projects and engaged in teaching to share my passion for technology and education.
I've always enjoyed making things, and the options feel endless with code. My favorite projects are ones that present problems with non-obvious solutions, as they push me to expand my skills and discover new approaches.
While there have been glimpses of interest and promise in educational math games, I believe there is still untapped potential for them to revolutionize learning, making it more engaging, effective, and intuitive. To explore innovative approaches to educational game design, I have been actively developing and testing game prototypes covering various middle school math concepts.
I've been teaching here and there since high school. I've taught students of all ages, both online and in person. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing concepts click.
